This is a small update to fix an important security bug and it comes 2 months after iOS 14.7 was released to support MagSafe Battery Pack.
Currently, iOS and iPadOS 14.8 updates can be downloaded for free, and the software is available on all eligible iPhone/iPad models over-the-air in the Settings app. To download the latest update of the iOS/iPadOS 14 operating system, go to Settings => General => Software Update.According to Apple's release notes, the update provides important and recommended security updates to all users. Apple's security support document outlines two major fixes that have been implemented in iOS 14.8. Among them are a CoreGraphics bug that could allow a maliciously generated PDF file to result in arbitrary code execution, as well as a WebKit vulnerability that could allow maliciously generated web content to execute code.<script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3610997877401607" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>In addition to the above security fixes, iOS 14.8 and iPadOS 14.8 do not bring any other new features. It is expected that this will be the last update of iOS / iPadOS 14 operating systems as Apple is expected to release iOS 15 as well as iPadOS 15 to users in the next few weeks.
