4 reasons to stay away from iPhone 13 after launch

The iPhone isn't everything, and neither is the iPhone 13. If you look at the following reasons, users can completely stay away from Apple's upcoming product.

On September 14, Apple will officially announce the iPhone 13 series. So far there has been a lot of information about this product line such as 120 Hz refresh rate screen and many color options. Unfortunately, there are a few points where users may get frustrated with this product.

1.Screen refresh rate

The iPhone 13 series will have 120 Hz refresh rate screens, however it seems that only the iPhone 13 Pro Max will support this rate, while the rest continue to use the old 60 Hz refresh rate screens.

Screen refresh rate has always been an important criterion for measuring the quality of a mobile phone screen. Simply put, the higher the refresh rate, the more frames can be displayed in 1 second. The higher the number, the smoother it will be when used, providing a better visual experience and reducing eye strain.

But when looking back at the iPhone, it is always a point of regret for fans. This time around, the iPhone 13 series will finally have a 120 Hz refresh rate, but the fact that only the iPhone 13 Pro Max has it is a disappointment.

2.Same design, except for the smaller notch

The notch, or "rabbit ears," has continued to exist on the iPhone since the iPhone X launched in 2017. It's a large black bar above the screen. In the Android realm, on the other hand, the phone's front-facing camera module has gradually evolved from a notch to a waterdrop, pop-up, and most recently, under the display. The screen-to-body ratio is getting higher and higher, and the sense of unity on the front of Android phones is getting better and better.

Before the release of the iPhone 13, there was a lot of need to change the notch design. In the first half of this year, there were even rumors that Apple would use an under-display camera, but current official reports still believe that the iPhone 13 will continue to have a notch design. The only difference is that the notch will be significantly smaller than its predecessor.

From leaks and speculations so far, the iPhone 13's notch is smaller. However, this is not quite enough for this year's high-end phone series. In general, the iPhone 13 screen design has remained almost the same technically for 4 years. In contrast, over the past 4 years, Apple has more alternatives.

The “Face ID” function due to the dot matrix projector, infrared lens and front camera lens offers quite a few benefits. However, the microphone, ambient light sensor and other components do not need to be integrated on top at all.

3.Fast charging only 25W

As early as 2014, OPPO Find 7 series adopted their proprietary VOOC flash charging technology for the first time, allowing to charge the phone from 0-70% in less than half an hour. In today's Android smartphone market, the use of fast charging 67W or more has become the norm for flagship phones of various brands. Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 comes with 120W wired charging and 50W wireless fast charging configuration, which fully charges the 4,500 mAh battery in just 25 minutes with wired or 28 minutes with wireless.

On the iPhone side, its fast charging capabilities are still at the lowest level. The iPhone 12 series only supports 20W charging, even Apple does not include a charger in the box. After buying iPhone 12, users have to go to Apple's official website to spend more money on the charger.

However, the iPhone 13 will increase its battery capacity and fast charging ratings. The battery capacity of the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro could be 3,095 mAh, which is 10% higher than that of the iPhone 12. The iPhone 13 Pro Max will have a 4,352 mAh battery but the charging capacity is only 25W - an increase of 5W compared to the 20W of the iPhone 12.

Although the iPhone 13 series has gradually increased battery capacity, the 25W charging speed is not enough compared to what is currently available in the smartphone market.

4.Slightly expensive

Price has always been a weak point for the iPhone. Thankfully, the company has loyal fans willing to spend on a new iPhone. According to the report, the starting price of the iPhone 13 series is similar to the iPhone 12 series. However, recent rumors say that the storage capacity does not have the 256 GB option common for the Pro model. For low-end models, there will be no 64 GB storage option, the lowest is 128 GB.

In terms of RAM, the iPhone 13 and 13 mini have a capacity of 4 GB, while the Pro models have 6 GB. But thanks to the iOS system mechanics, the impact of the memory upgrade on performance is not obvious.
Comparatively speaking, Android models have a lot to choose from. Latest high-end phones with all levels of RAM as well as internal storage..
